issue since the industrial revolution began and as human
population soars, it is becoming increasingly grave. Recently, scientists have stated that if global temperature rises by 2 degrees
Celsius, many eco-catastrophes will ensure. Weather-related disasters will appear frequently, and the
poverty and war will become more prevalent because of drought and flooding.
A 1997 climate treaty, the Kyoto Protocol in
Japan aimed to curb carbon emissions. In 2009, the COP15 in Copenhagen signatories
agreed to pour in $100 billion
to assist developing countries lessen their carbon emission by 2020. However, the Indian, China
and the U.S. -the most emission countries- signed the document, but failed to
follow it because they thought it would hinder the economic developing.
Indian considered it's unfair that developing countries be expected to
bear an equal burden in decreasing carbon emissions as developed countries
